Police and Fire Reports from the SnoValley Star

Once every one or two weeks, I’ve never taken note, a copy of the SnoValley Star shows up in our PO BOX. SnoValley Star newspaper

Here are a few of the best from this week’s “Police and Fire Reports”, which I guess is the politically correct term for “police blotter” because that must offend firefirghters? Taken from the SnoValley Star’s February 27, 2014 edition, page 7. That’s VOL. 5, NO. 9 just so we’re clear.

Accidental activation
Firefighters responded at 4:50 p.m. on Feb. 14, to the 1500 block of Boalch Avenue Northwest to an unintentional detector operation. There was no fire, the smoke detector was activated by mistake. (sic)

Firefighters responded on Feb. 15, along with Eastside Fire and Resucue, to a car accident on Highway 18. A tree fell across the road. Occupants of the vehicles were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries. (sic)

Stink leak
Firefighters responded on Feb. 16, to assist Fall City Fire Department on a possible gas leak in a residence. Upon arrival, the smell was determined to be from a septic tank. (sic)

Hitting the head
Police responded at 9:55 p.m. to Smokey Joes at 38600 Southeast King Street to a 911 call where a female said “look at my bathroom” then hung up. An intoxicated female had fallen and bumped her head in the ladies room. She refused aid. (sic)

Should have done more cardio
Police responded at 6:30 p.m. to the Snoqualmie Market at 8030 Railroad Avenue Southeast to a theft in-progress. On arrival, officers found the store manager chasing a younger, stocky blonde woman eastbound on Railroad Avenue. The subject was quickly located. (sic)

“There’s a sort of evil out there. Something very, very strange in these old woods.” -Sheriff Truman
