First Photos: Canon AE-1

I’m reblogging my own posts lately. I’m not sorry. It’s been about a year since I started this thing and I’ve got some favorites,

I’ve been carrying around this Canon AE-1 with a 28mm 1:2.8 Canon FD lens since this post from late August. During the week it was in the bag I carry to work, on the weekends usually in a camera bag with one or more of my other cameras.

I was carrying it with me the day my colleague showed me the ruins of old Snoqualmie which was the same day we used the Jeep to scout this end of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest.

I finished the roll in a place called Easton, Washington–a trip that resulted in this post about vodka.

This is a great little camera to shoot, very comparable to the Nikon FG in size, weight, and ability. What really makes this combo though is the 28mm lens.

All the photos were taken on Kodak 400 BW for C41 using Program mode.
