First Photos: Nikon 1 V1

In these other posts that feature Guan Yin I was testing film cameras.

This courtyard is one of my favorite spots to test cameras, mainly because I can fit the tests in during a smoke break, and because the subject matter remains pretty much the same, more or less. Great for comparing one camera to another.

I do prefer the foggy days, because they hide the clutter of suburban life, and so today was a good day to test the Nikon 1 V1.

The following shots were taken with the exposure mode set to “Scene auto selector” (no typos, that is how it reads in the menu)  using the kit lens that came with the camera, a 1 Nikkor 10-30mm 3.5-5.6 VR.

Camera Results will come later, but so far this Nikon is working out pretty well.
