Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper

wpid-20130509_215605.jpgJeff Cooper was a pretty interesting guy.

I read about him first in 2011, the anniversary of John Browning’ s 1911 pistol which Cooper certainly helped popularize.

He was a US Marine in World War II and Korea, and an adviser of sorts in various foreign conflicts. He wrote books on shooting, defense, and sports car driving. He hunted. He founded Gunsite Academy in Arizona to teach his own defensive shooting techniques, and he took or was the subject of hundreds of photographs. One book, Yukon Journal, boasts over 200 black and whites.

The book pictured was published by Paladin Press, ISBN 978-1-58160-495-5.
