First Photos: Canon Canonet QL17

Canon Canonet QL17

The QL17 was designed to use a mercury battery that was 1.3 volts. From what I’ve read mercury batteries did not require electronics that used them to have voltage regulators. Alkaline do. The wisdom on the Internet at large says to lower the ASA setting when using a modern 1.5 volt cell battery in QL series cameras (which requires an adaptor of some sort). My camera’s meter responded slowly, but otherwise there are no real issues that I can see. These pics are of a foot bridge and small park near my work. Walking over it turned out to be as unimpressive as driving beneath it.

Top of same.

Benches only dogs use.
