CZ 70 refinished

CZ70_after1

This is the CZ 70 shown in the previous  post after cleaning and refinishing. Since the gun is worth less than $100 except in pristine condition, when it’s worth $125, it’s a great learning platform for tinkering. In the end the rebuilt and refinished CZ 70 proved accurate at defensive ranges, but when loaded with modern defensive rounds, it jammed on the first round when more than six rounds were loaded. Rounds using ball shaped bullets worked as expected with seven rounds in the magazine. I point this out because the magazine can be loaded with up to nine rounds, and is often advertised on online auction sites as having a nine round capacity. Loading this gun with nine rounds essentially renders it inoperable.
